GENERAL CONDITIONS
Campground Management has taken all reasonable means to ensure that your stay here will be safe, pleasant and enjoyable. This property is privately owned and operated and is obligated to abide by all laws, federal, provincial and local. Many of the following rules and regulations are required by law, and other rules and regulations are for the safety, health and welfare of the occupants, as well as for the protections of the property rights of the owner. Consideration and courtesy to others together with your cooperation in maintaining your unit will help sustain the standards of Holiday Beach Campground. Please review all the information provided for your guidance. Signature(s) are required to confirm you have read and understand the rules & regulations and therefore; agree to comply with License of Occupancy.
WELCOME
The Season runs from the Friday of the May Long Weekend to September 30.
Lot Rental Fees are due in full by March 16th. Late payment fees will apply.
Deposit of $850.00 is due by September 30th if you wish to retain your lot for the next camping season. Trailers left at the campground over the winter and removed in the spring will be charged a Winter Storage Fee. Please enquire at the office for Storage Rates.
SEASONAL & MONTHLY OCCUPANCY
Lot rental fee permits (1) family; 2 adults & up to 3 children; any additional adults over the age of 18 years old are subject to an additional fee of $300.00 per person for the season. 1 trailer or 1 tent per site and 1 vehicle parking space unless otherwise authorized by management. Lot rental agreements are not transferable. You must provide proof of insurance and propane certification. Trailer must be in good working condition with a useable bathroom and water source.
Campground Bathrooms are for campers & overnight guests only.
Seasonal sites are intended for recreational camping use only and are not to be used as a primary residence. Full-time living or unapproved extended occupancy is not permitted.
Contractors or any extended use situations must be disclosed in advance and may be subject to additional fees or separate arrangements.
Special circumstances may be considered through discussion and prior approval.
All site use must remain within campground rules and posted occupancy limits. Subletting is not permitted.
*If there is room left on your lot you may have: A deck built in accordance with the building code. 1 shed, plastic or tin, (in good repair) not to exceed 108 square feet (10 square meters) as per building code by-law. Please enquire with Management for specifications.
ALL STRUCTURES: Decks-sheds-fences-tents-privacy screens etc. Must be approved by Management/Owner.
NO STORAGE OF LUMBER, PALLETS, OLD SCREENS, AWNINGS, PROPANE TANKS, STONE OR BLOCKS, CLUTTER ETC. AROUND; UNDER OR BEHIND YOUR TRAILER OR SITE.
CAMPFIRES
Absolutely no accelerants to be used to start your fire!
Campfires MUST be monitored at all times and extinguished before leaving or going in for the night. You must have a bucket of water and tools at the ready to contain and/or extinguish the fire. Power tools are not permitted, including operating of chainsaws or skill saw to cut or split wood or to prepare kindling.
A few reminders as per Fire Code By-Laws:Campfires, as well as fires contained within a burn barrel or chiminea, must be located at spots designated by Management. Citizens are prohibited from burning garbage, construction materials, wet materials or any other material that may create dense smoke. Burning of pressure treated wood, plastics, trash or any other toxic chemicals in campfires or on the property is not permitted.
FIRE PITS
Any personal fire pits must be approved by Management. Campers are to maintain a reasonable size fire; for safety reasons. Please do not cut or remove bark or branches from any trees within the park. At no time is fire to be left unattended.
Fire Pits are not to be moved - If there is a problem with the location of your pit, please see us. Fire pit ashes are to be disposed of in the designated container located at the garbage and recycling center. Please ensure ashes are completely cool before depositing in container.
DO NOT PLACE ashes in the bush or the lake.
FIREWOOD
Firewood must be purchased from the campground -It is prohibited to bring in your own firewood. Woodpiles, no higher than 3’ high x 4’ wide & must be 5m from the fire pit. Woodpiles must be kept neat and tidy. Please visit the office to purchase firewood-bulk pricing available or per crate.
ELECTRICITY
Your trailer refrigerator, hot water tank, cooking apparatus and heat systems must be all run on propane. When your breaker trips it is due to small appliance use (toaster, microwave, coffee maker, etc.) coinciding with your fridge or air conditioning unit cycling at the same time. Space heaters are not permitted due to safety-fire hazard. You should watch your electrical use as staff is not always readily available to re-set breakers on a timely basis.
A minimum 14/3 gauge extension cord is mandatory to plug in your trailer at the hydro post. The Hydro supply at your post is intended for your trailer only. At no time is any person to tamper with electrical wiring in the campground. If there is a problem with the electricity at your post please see Owner or Management. Hydro may be disconnected from your trailer by Management if you leave the Park and do not turn off all non-essential items (TV, Radio, Lights, etc.)
AIR CONDITION USE
Air conditioning and heating units must be turned off when you are not in the park for an extended time. Air conditioning must not be operated with doors or windows open, as this causes excessive power use and system strain.
Excessive or unsafe electrical use may result in hydro being disconnected by management for safety reasons.
COMPLIANCE
Any tenant not complying with any rules and regulations of Holiday Beach Campground and/or any Federal, Provincial or Municipal regulation hereinafter will be asked to leave immediately with all their belongings without refund. Costs associated with cleanup will be billed to the violator. Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person(s).
EVICTION POLICY
We reserve the right to refuse service and/ or admittance to the park at our discretion. Loud noise, music, vulgar language, and abusive attitudes of any kind will not be tolerated. Behavior of this type will result in immediate eviction without refund.
OWNER/MAINTENANCE/MANAGEMENT will perform their duties accordingly to address a complaint/emergency repairs to the site (electrical and water) and may enter a site to do so as it is the property of Holiday Beach Campground. The site fees you pay as a seasonal is to have the use of a site for the season; to use the amenities and services of the park and does not give you ownership of site/property or entitle you to refuse staff entrance onto the site to perform their duties.
MAINTENANCE OF SITE
CHILDREN
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while in the campground, including at the playground, waterfront, and common areas.
Parents/guardians are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children and any children of their guests, as well as any damages caused.
Unsupervised children, especially in high-risk areas such as the waterfront, are not permitted.
Safety is a priority, and management may intervene where necessary.
Destructive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour (including damage to campground property such as playground equipment or facilities) will not be tolerated.
PLAYGROUND USE
Playground equipment is intended for children ages 5–12. Adult supervision is required at all times. Use of the playground is at your own risk.
Rough play, unsafe behaviour, or excessive noise is not permitted.
The playground must not be used when wet or icy.
Footwear is required at all times. No pets are allowed in the playground area.
No glass bottles or containers are permitted in the play area.
Playground is open from sunrise to sunset.
In case of emergency, call 911.
BEACH OR SWIMMING AREA
No Lifeguard or Supervisor on Duty; Swim at your own risk. Parents/Adults/ Guardians are responsible for their children’s safety on the beach, and throughout the park. Campfires, alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permitted on beach.
PETS
Pets are welcome. They must be leashed and kept tethered on your lot at all times. Please control excessive barking, or you will be asked to remove your pet from the campground. Dogs are permitted to swim at the designated area at the end of the walking trail when the area is not in use by other guests. Please stoop and scoop even on the walking trail and surrounding areas. Dog waste is not to be put in the recycle bins. NO PETS in playground areas or on the sandy area of the Beach.
VISITORS
Visitor Fees:
Day Pass - $5.00 per person Check out time 9pm
Parking - $5.00 per vehicle
Overnight - $10 per person / night. Check out time 12 noon.
No excessive music or boisterous activity. Please be courteous to other campers’ rights to enjoy the park and refrain from walking on their site even if they are not there.
FIELD BED & SEPTIC SYSTEM
Absolutely no walking, driving, throwing or placing anything on either of the field beds or within two feet of their perimeters. Do not flush anything down the toilets other than human waste and toilet paper. No grease, food or other liquids or solids including paper towel, sanitary napkins and tampons. You will be held responsible for damages caused to the septic system if this is not strictly adhered to.
WATER USE
Garden hoses are permitted only for connection to a trailer for indoor plumbing use. A short hose (maximum 4 ft) may be used to fill a bucket for fire control purposes only.
The campground water system must not be used for filling kiddie pools, water slides, water balloons, water toys, or for washing vehicles, trailers, or boats.
Washing of vehicles is strictly prohibited anywhere within the campground.
A $150.00 fee will be applied for violations of water use rules.
Any trailer washing or exterior cleaning must be pre-approved by management and kept to a minimum. Only environmentally approved cleaning products may be used. Any required equipment (e.g., power washers or generators) must be supplied by the occupant.
All such activities require prior permission from management.
GARBAGE & RECYCLING
FISH WASTE
Please freeze your fish waste and dispose of it at home. Putting fish waste in the garbage is a violation of environmental law and campsite regulations. It also attracts unwanted animals and pests. Fish waste deposited in garbage during the summer months causes a health concern and unpleasant odor in the campground.
ALCOHOL & DRUGS
No drinking and driving or driving under the influence of cannabis or other illicit drugs anytime within the grounds.
Note: While on private property, having open alcohol and/or drinking or under the influence of cannabis while driving a motorized vehicle is an offence under the Highway Traffic Act.
Alcohol / Cannabis may only be consumed on a registered campsite. Alcohol / Cannabis are not permitted in public areas. No walking through the campground with open alcohol or while smoking cannabis. Glass containers of any kind are not permitted off the campsite. Excessive noise, drinking or profanities are not permitted. There is zero tolerance in this regard. The age for legal consumption of alcohol in Ontario is 19 years of age.
SPEED LIMIT
All vehicles - 10 Km/h or less right from the front gates. No exceptions slow and safe!
Please watch for children, as they may not be watching for you!
OFF-ROAD VEHICLES
Mopeds, scooters, golf carts, electric kiddie’s cars, ATV’s & dirt bikes are not permitted in the campground. With the exception of work crew vehicles. If a motorized vehicle is required to accommodate a disability please notify the office for approval. No unlicensed drivers are allowed to operate ANY vehicle on the property. Please do not allow children under 16 to sit in the driver’s seat while it is being operated. Motorized vehicles should be used as little as possible, to reduce noise pollution, dust, and accidents.
PARKING
Vehicles, Boat Trailers and Utility Trailers
As per By-law 2015-245 42(2)(b) There is no parking on or blocking access to any of the main roads. These are fire routes and must be kept free of parked vehicles or other obstacles to use by emergency responders and others. If you must stop on any of the main roads a driver MUST remain in the driver’s seat at all times.
Parking Park on your own lot (1 vehicle per lot) No Parking on empty sites. Additional parking is provided for visitors if space permits in the designated areas. Contact office for details.
Boat trailers may be parked in the designated areas if space permits. *Please see Management for details. NO parking boat trailers on your lot.
Utility trailers may be kept on your lot if space permits for day use only. There is no room in the campground to store utility trailers therefore it must be taken home when you are done using it.
BOATS & DOCKING
Docking is based on availability. Visit office or website for Fees
NO parking/storing boats or trailers on your lot at any time. Winter Boat & Trailer storage is available and not included in Seasonal Fees. No entry to the dock unless you have a registered slip/boat. No fishing or swimming off the dock.
TRAILER HITCHES
The front of your trailer and hitch must be free and clear of any objects, such as rock gardens, furniture or any other objects. Vehicles may not be parked in front of your trailer hitch while you are not in the park. We need the hitch free and clear in case of emergency removal of your trailer from your camping site (due to water/sewer leaks, emergency tree/branch removal, etc.)
INSURANCE & VALID PROPANE CERTIFICATION
All RV Trailers must have valid insurance coverage which must be recorded at the office at the beginning of each camping season.
Trailers that have propane hooked up must have a valid Propane sticker. Any trailer 10 years or older MUST have a valid Propane Inspection Certificate. The regulator and hose must be removed from any trailer not having a valid Propane Sticker or Propane Inspection
Certificate.
It is the law to have working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in your trailer. Seasonal campers must comply with the Ontario Fire Code alarm requirements.
ENVIROMENTAL MATTERS
The Ministry Of Environment and Climate Change (M.O.E.) can enter the Park at any time and if we are not complying with proper regulations regarding any environmental matter, the M.O.E. has the right to close down the Park. If you are caught by the Ministry of the Environment, Department of Health or any other Ministry by which we are governed for any environ- mental, health or safety infraction you will be held responsible to pay ALL fines as well as clean up expenses. If you do not comply and we are forced to close down because of your actions you will be held responsible for all fines, legal fees, loss of income and all other associated costs incurred by the owner.
NATURE TRAILS
We offer hiking trails for your enjoyment. However, please note that until the spring mud has dried up, no access will be allowed to that area. When walking the trails, please be respectful of the environment. No hunting, or carrying any sort of weapon is permitted on the trails or in the campground.
DUMPING STATION
Holiday Beach Campground is not set up for on-site sewage. There is a DUMPING STATION $15.00 fee applies. Please see office for details.
Dumping Stations Located at the Main Washroom Building. Sewage (urine and feces) must be kept in the holding tank of your trailer, and then dumped at the dumping station using a RV waste tank wagon. We suggest you purchase your own wagon. Blue wagons provided for use must be rinsed and returned immediately. Please be sure to close valves on your trailer after emptying to avoid accidental spillage. Gray water holes are strictly for water to drain from sinks and showers being mindful of acceptable soaps for environmental use. (No toxic materials, grease to be disposed of in drains or grey water holes)
LOSS, THEFT, DAMAGE, INJURY
Persons using any and all facilities in the campground do so at their own risk. The management and owners are not responsible for any damage, injury, or loss by weather (acts of God), accident, theft, or fire to either the property or person of any tenant or guest. You enter and stay in the campground at your own risk. You are required by law to have Insurance for your RV/Trailer/Motorhome/Recreational Vehicle. Proof of insurance will be required when your register for the Season.
